Do we still need The World Wide Web?
The World Wide Web (The Web) and The Internet are used interchangeably, but technically they aren’t the same thing.
The Web is the system to link documents through a single protocol (usually websites) HTTP, The Internet is the system that carries these documents, plus emails and tweets etc…and uses many different protocols
PPC and the AK47 principle
Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is a fairly familiar form of online advertising these days. You bid for keywords and phrases and your advert appears (usually) on the right hand side of the search engine results.
Silver lining
Lights go out; all PC’s shut down…Power cut! This is going to equal no work and lost business…This happens quiet a lot you know!…Solution?
A lot of more work at the moment revolves around moving business into ‘The Cloud’.
It’s rare that I now find people opposed to working ‘in’ The Cloud but few companies have taken the step and moved their entire business into The Cloud.
So as a quick remind of why this is something you need to consider…

As some of you may know i’m a huge comic book fan…Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Justice League etc…
What comic book writers do very well is weave together stories across several titles, which got me thinking about the similarities with business technologies.
